摘要:This lecture presents recent stability results for the compressible magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations near a background magnetic field. We begin by reviewing results for the 2D compressible MHD equations with velocity dissipation but no magnetic diffusion, where the background magnetic field is taken as a fixed constant vector such as $(1,0)$ or $(0,1)$. A key ingredient in the analysis is a fourth-order wave structure. We then focus on the 3D compressible MHD equations in periodic domains. We address two distinct cases: (1) the isentropic compressible MHD equations with velocity dissipation but no magnetic diffusion, and (2) the non-isentropic compressible MHD equations with magnetic diffusion but no velocity dissipation. For both cases, the background magnetic field is assumed to be a constant vector satisfying the Diophantine condition. Various wave structures are examined and exploited in the proofs of these stability results.
