Abstract: We introduce the spaces of mixed volume forms on balanced manifolds endowed with an $L^2$-metric and study the structure of these spaces. Among other results we derive the geodesic equation in these spaces and prove that these spaces are weakly geodesically  complete in the sense that any two points in the spaces are connected by a weak solution of the geodesic equation. We shall also discuss an interesting relationship between these spaces. This is based join work with my student Mathew George.
